Presenting
The Berrytones
From
Crescendo Performing Arts Academy
Developing God-Given Talent
Crescendo Performing Arts Academy is home to “The Berrytones”,
an incredibly talented group of young performers who have graced
the stages at Crystal Cathedral, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm
and more since 1999. After going through an extremely
competitive audition process, these young people, ages 7-20,
commit to a rigorous schedule of rehearsal and performances.
The Berrytones recently claimed the title of “Grand Champion” in
eight different divisions at the 2008 California State Talent
Competition in San Jose, California.
The
Berrytones are a Christian based group that performs a mix of
traditional and contemporary music presented with live vocals
and Broadway style choreography. The group performs at a
variety of community based functions both at Christmas time and
in the Spring. The Berrytones have performed at local
churches, senior communities, Veteran’s Hospital, City of Hope,
MacLeran Children’s Center, The Orange County National Guard, LA
County Sheriff’s 999 for Kids and many more. It is
refreshing to see young people performing in the arts in such a
positive way.
The
Berrytones are directed by Tracy Berry. Tracy holds a
Bachelors degree in Theater from The University of California,
Irvine as well as a teaching credential from California State
University San Bernardino. Tracy was an elementary school
teacher for four years before starting her own performing arts
school. She is the founder and artistic director for
Crescendo Performing Arts Academy in San Dimas, California.
She is also the founder and president for Crescendo Theatrical
Productions, a non-profit theater company in San Dimas.
