POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
REGISTRATION:
A
non-refundable fee of $25 per family is required yearly.
Withdrawal and re-enrollment within the same year will generate an
additional registration fee.
PAYMENT
OF TUITION:
Tuition is taken out of your checking account on a monthly basis using
Auto-pay, a streamlined system of auto-debit. There are two
Auto-pay options from which to choose
Option 1:
Tuition is pulled from the account on the 5th of every month
Option 2:
Tuition is pulled from the account on the 15th of every month
DRESS
CODE:
Students not following the dress code may be asked to sit out during
class.
COMMITMENT:
We
agree that youth needs to be held accountable for their behavior and
choices. However, we require that parents not withhold studio
classes and especially performances as a consequence for behavior, poor
grades or choices. Doing so punishes the teacher and the entire
class and is not acceptable.
OBSERVATION:
Parents, relatives and friends may not enter any classroom during
instructional time unless invited by the teacher.
WITHDRAWAL:
30
days notice must be given to discontinue any lessons. This notice must
be given by the 5th of the month that is to be the student’s
last month of instruction. Otherwise, that month’s tuition is due upon
withdrawal. Withdrawal from lessons before the end of the year
showcase forfeits all costumes purchased for the end of the year
showcase, plus the reserve month’s payment, if applicable.
Costuming will become the property of Crescendo Performing Arts Academy
if a student withdraws from lessons before the Showcase. No
costume refund will be offered. To withdraw from classes a parent
or adult student must:
1.
Inform studio administration in person during the first week of
the student’s last month of classes.
2.
Complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the studio.
Withdrawals require a signature and cannot be accepted over the phone or
through email. If proper withdrawal procedures are not
followed, the parent or adult student will be responsible for the
monthly payment of tuition until the proper procedures are followed.
MISSED CLASSES AND MAKE-UP CLASSES:
No
make-up lessons will be given for students who miss class. If the
studio cancels a class, a make-up lesson will be offered or a pro-rated
credit will be applied to the following month’s tuition. Please
notify the studio if you are going to be absent from class for any
reason. Students who miss more than two classes in a row will be
required to take a private lesson(s) in order to catch up with the rest
of their class. Absences during the months of May and June may
eliminate a student from participation in the annual showcase. In
that instance, no refunds will be given for tuition or costuming.
If a student is the only registered student who shows up for a class,
the teacher will give that student a ½ hour private lesson instead of
the full length class.
PRIVATE
LESSONS:
Private lessons must be scheduled through the front desk. Private
lessons must be paid for on a monthly basis.
Missed
Lessons and Make–up Lessons: A maximum of four make up lessons are
allowed per student for the year. Make-up lessons will be given
only if the original lesson is canceled by 8:00pm the day before your
lesson was to be given. Calling the studio and leaving a message
the day of your lesson does not meet the cancellation requirement.
